Solid state chemistry. Synthesis, structural and electrochemical characterization of sodium and lithium intercalation compounds (oxides) as electrode materials for rechargeable alkaline-ion batteries. Development of prospective ecological electrode materials for grid-scale energy storage applications. Purposeful modification of layered oxides for improving their electrochemical performance.
